Two little girls met for the first time
Two little girls in their childhood prime
You and I have been through a lot
Back then I never would have thought
Fourteen years would go by
Wow, did those years fly
Now at seventeen years old
We’re still waiting for more time to unfold
Our friendship is so rare
It’s one of those things you can’t compare
Circumstances took us apart
So when I get sad, I just remember the start
The day we first met,
We were three years old and I could never forget
It was the start of this fourteen-year friendship
Those were the days when we used to play and skip
We were two little girls playing with toys
Now it’s all about the make-up and boys
No matter what life may toss our way
I won’t let our friendship ever fade away
