WILL

Silence is the only sound that I hear.
Amid the silence, a soft whisper in my ear.
I would have ignored it days ago,
But something in me changed.
I listen to the voice within,
The words it softly says…
Determination, pride and strength
Will bring me all the way.
To never quit, nor blink an eye,
At those who will not support.
Knowing I will listen to
And simply follow my heart,
No longer doubting who I am,
And thinking I won’t do.
Because who can say I won’t succeed,
When I know that,
I will.
