Your stomach produces digestive juices. Your kidneys begin to function. Your liver is making blood cells. And your taste buds are forming. Forty muscle sets begin to operate in conjunction with your nervous system. And at this stage the cartilage begins to change to real bone cells.

Your fingerprints are being engraved. Your eyelids and palms of your hands are sensitive to touch. Hiccups frequently begin to occur from 8 to 9 weeks.

You bend your fingers around an object placed in the palm of your hand. You begin sucking your thumb. Your fingernails are forming. In response to a touch on the sole of your foot, you will curl your toes or bend your hips and knees to move away from the object.
